Place and population
RiverTown is a large master-planned community along the eastern bank of the St. Johns River in northwest St. Johns County. It combines newer villages with river access, wooded corridors, trails, schools, recreation, and a growing commercial center.
RiverTown is not an incorporated municipality or independent Census place. Population is recorded within St. Johns County Census tracts, and the number of residents changes as new neighborhoods and phases open. Read the St. Johns County profile, or view rivertown on google maps.
How the area developed
The area's deeper history belongs to the St. Johns River corridor, long used for travel, trade, agriculture, and settlement. RiverTown's modern chapter is a phased community designed to reconnect neighborhoods with the river through parks, paths, and shared gathering places. Continue with RiverTown community story.
